GAME DRIVES - If you didn't know, winter is the best time to enjoy a game drive despite the cold. In fact the cold is part of the fun and the views remain breathtakingly beautiful! It’s a wonderful season to go for midday drives, as many of the animals will be out in the open soaking up the winter sun. So get your warm jackets, gloves and beanies out, pack the flasks filled with delicious hot chocolate and enjoy the beautiful South African wildlife in the winter.

  ADRENALINE RUSH ACTIVITIES - Believe it or not, most adrenaline sports are best done in winter. In Gauteng, skydiving is ideal in the colder months, as rainfall is generally limited and skies clear. If you want to go river rafting, then areas that mostly rain in winter, like Cape Town and the Garden Route, are ideal places to visit; as river levels are high and the banks brimming.
